Stockport Children’s Book Awards

I was absolutely delighted to go to Stockport for the presentation of the Stockport Children's Book Awards. These awards are voted for by young people across the borough, which makes them extra special. The ceremony was held in the huge hall in the very grand council building, and I was very happy indeed when Flora Banks won the teen section.

Here I am with John Kelly (picture book winner) and Lisa Thompson (who won the middle grade award). We were each given a piece of artwork made by a child, about our books. Mine went straight up in my living room as soon as I got home.
