Your name in a book…

In this winter of scary things I’ve been trying to think of something I can do to help, even in a small way, and this is what I've come up with:

Would you like to name a character in my new YA book in exchange for a donation to FareShare, the UK charity doing a huge amount to feed the vulnerable? I fear their services are going to be needed more than ever this winter.

If you want to put someone’s name in the book as a Christmas present to them, I’ll be happy to send them confirmation in a festive manner in time for this Christmas. The book is as yet untitled, but is a YA thriller with ghosts, and will be published by Penguin in 2022 (it’s basically already written but there are characters whose names I will happily change). When it’s out, I’ll send the recipient a signed copy of the book.

This is a one-off opportunity. If more than one person is interested, it’ll go to the one who offers the highest donation to FareShare. You can do this on Facebook or Twitter,or email me: contactemilybarr@gmail.com.

Thank you and festive greetings to everyone!
